Creation
The Regional Court of Accounts for the Drâa–Tafilalet Region was established pursuant to Decree No. 2.15.556 dated October 5, 2015, which set forth the number, names, headquarters, and jurisdictions of regional courts of accounts, in alignment with the Kingdom's new regional division. The Court was assigned the mandate to oversee entities within the territorial jurisdiction of the Drâa–Tafilalet Region.
Composition
The Regional Court is composed of a President and a Public Prosecutor, supported by ten judges, including three branch presidents. In addition, the Court includes two judicial attachés, four auditors, and six administrative staff members, among whom is a Department Head.
Jurisdiction
The jurisdiction of the Regional Court of Accounts for the Drâa–Tafilalet Region extends to all entities subject to its oversight. These include:
- 1 regional council
- 5 prefectures and provinces
- 125 local communes
- 12 intercommunal clusters and cooperation institutions
- 1 State-owned company
- 2 delegated management contracts
- 1 local development company
Oversight Outcomes for the Period 2022–2024
- Issuance of 285 final judgments in the context of account adjudication, with total recorded deficits amounting to MAD 375,058.97
- Issuance of 12 judgments under budgetary and financial disciplinary proceedings, resulting in financial penalties totaling MAD 148,000.00, in addition to the recovery of amounts nearing MAD 59,040.00
- Execution of 19 missions related to management control and evaluation of completed programs and projects
- Receipt of 6,347 mandatory asset declarations from audited individuals, in accordance with the legal provisions governing asset disclosure
